.Human Resource Considerations for Making Critical Decisions.

In the dynamic landscape of business and personal life, critical decisions are inevitable. Whether steering a corporation through human resource factors such as skills, expertise, workload and capacity or guiding a team through a complex project, available resources can significantly influence the outcomes.

Key considerations that affect human resource factors include drawing inspiration from scripture to find guidance and wisdom that informs your decision-making.

Seek the advice of those with the necessary skills and expertise to inform your decisions.”For by wise counsel you will wage your own war, and in a multitude of counselors there is safety.” (Proverbs 24:6, NKJV).

Evaluate the skills and expertise of your team. Do you have the right people with the necessary knowledge to inform the decision? Sometimes, bringing in external consultants or specialists might be necessary to bridge gaps.

It’s important to build your team. A united team, working harmoniously, can achieve great things. “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” (Psalm 133:1, NKJV).

Consider the interpersonal dynamics and morale within your team. A cohesive, motivated team can tackle challenges more effectively than a fragmented one. Encourage open communication and collaboration to harness collective intelligence.

The idea of emotional intelligence promotes cognizance of your team, not only professionally, but on a personal level. This means understanding their wellness for performance. Recognize the limits of your team and ensure they have rest and support to maintain their productivity and well-being. Assess the current workload and capacity of your team. Overburdening your team can lead to burnout and decreased productivity, negatively impacting the decision’s execution.

Also, recognize when you need rest for your own wellness since you are a part of your team. “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28, NKJV).

Remember, making critical decisions requires a multifaceted approach to resource management. By considering human factors  through the lens of Scripture, you can enhance your decision-making process and increase the likelihood of successful outcomes.
