What is the substance (i.e., the tangible matter of which a thing consists) that convinces you of what you are hoping for will actually manifest? What is the evidence (i.e., data on which to base proof or to establish truth or falsehood) that makes you convinced of what you do not see yet in front of you but will appear at the timing of need? What have you spoken about these things?
In Luke 17:1-6 the Messiah taught His disciples that stumbling blocks come through people such that it may cause some to sin. He further admonished a woe to those whom stumbling blocks come through and for the disciples to rebuke their brethren (i.e., those who are disciples with them) who sin. He also told them that if the brethren who sin repent, then to forgive them.
The apostles then said to the Messiah, “Increase our faith!” That seems to be a worthy request since it is the Most High Elohim who allots to every person their measure of faith (Romans 12:3), but why do you think they requested that? We can surmise from the scriptures aforementioned regarding people offending others similar to scenarios we see today. For example, if a person spouts off craziness to you, then you may pounce without giving them a chance to repent. However, if it is someone who is close to you who is connected with God, you may be inclined to forgive upon their repentance. If it is egregious, then it may take faith to forgive because you may not want to.
Regardless, the Messiah’s response was almost like saying ‘you don’t need to increase your measure of faith; you just need to speak the objective and cause the thing you are hoping and believing for to obey the faith command.’ This is also similar to what the Messiah told them regarding the demon-possessed boy (see “The Irrelevance of Meager Faith”, posted 25.02.03). In Luke 17 Jesus Christ stated, “If you had faith the size of a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea’; and it would obey you.”
Voice and command based on substance and evidence
The Messiah focuses on saying what the faith result shall be rather than the applicability of the measure of faith. Likewise, we can be the same in our stance and acquisition of faith results. We can have the smallest measure, i.e., like mustard seeds and voice faith commands, so that the objective of our faith is obedient to the words we speak. Executable actions are required based on the substance and evidence that we want to accomplish.
Thus, we can speak and command our faith objective as a primary action because the Messiah and His results are our foremost reference or data point on manifesting this truth regarding faith.
