Demonstrating Excellence Daily

To think that a life of excellence occurs by happenstance is error. Instead, it is something that grows as we pursue better quality in our lives. We can improve our effort by cultivating a mindset that strives above and beyond the standards that are good enough or average. Prayers and affirmations serve as architectural tools for this inner transformation, aligning our speech and our spirit with God’s high calling. By professing words that align with scripture we are reinforcing our spiritual identity that mirrors the precision and glory of the Almighty Yahweh.

Five Days of Affirmations

• Day One: I work with a heart of excellence because I serve God. (Colossians 3:23)
• Day Two: I am diligent and capable in my actions; doors of influence open for me. (Proverbs 22:29)
• Day Three: I choose to fill my mind with things that are excellent, honorable, and worthy of praise. (Philippians 4:8)
• Day Four: My spirit is excellent and wise, with the Holy Spirit guiding my decisions and my work ethic. (Daniel 6:3)
• Day Five: I am daily adding moral excellence and wisdom to my faith. (2 Peter 1:5)

The following prayer is provided as a tool for motivation, to build skill, improve thoughts, and promote integrity, discipline, and influence.

Pray: Yahweh, help me to do everything today as an act of worship to You. Let my work reflect Your glory. Abba Father, grant me the ability and resolve of an excellent spirit, and help me to be more capable in my field today than I was yesterday. God, guard my mind and my heart. Help me filter out the mediocre and focus only on what is excellent, true, and virtuous. As I commit to diligence, let me find favor before those in authority, just as Your Word promises. Let my virtuous character match my talent and skill. I pray in the Holy Spirit so that I will be given the self-discipline to make every effort to grow and improve daily. The Most High, use Your standard of excellence instilled in me to draw others to You. Let them see Your light in the quality of my life. I pray and make this request in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
